From CMX SPL to Native CMX
Everything you need to know about the Genesis Day migration — what happens, what you need to do (nothing), and how to protect yourself.
Migration Overview
CMX tokens purchased during the presale are issued as SPL Tokens on Solana — a temporary representation of your future allocation. On 18 June 2027 (Genesis Day), the Caput Mundi mainnet launches and all CMX SPL tokens are automatically replaced with native CMX at a 1:1 ratio.
The process is handled entirely by smart contract. There is no website to visit, no transaction to sign, and no fee to pay. Your native CMX will appear in your wallet within 24 hours of the Genesis Day snapshot.
Step by Step
Hold in a Self-Custodial Wallet
Keep your CMX SPL tokens in a wallet you control directly — Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack. Do not send them to an exchange or custodian near Genesis Day. Only wallets with direct private key access are guaranteed automatic migration.
No Action Required on Genesis Day
At 00:00 UTC on 18 June 2027, a snapshot of all CMX SPL balances is taken on Solana. Native CMX is minted and distributed automatically within 24 hours of the snapshot. You do not need to sign any transaction or visit any website.
Beware of Scam Migration Sites
Caput Mundi will never ask you to sign a transaction or connect your wallet to a site to 'claim' or 'migrate' tokens. Any website, social account, or message doing so is a scam. The migration is 100% automatic and free — no gas needed from you.
Verify Your Balance
After Genesis Day, connect your wallet at caputmundi.io/allocation to confirm your native CMX balance. The allocation dashboard updates automatically to reflect your migrated tokens. Allow up to 24 hours after the snapshot for processing.
Native CMX is Fully Live
Your native CMX is ready from day one. Trade on supported DEXes (Raydium, Orca), participate in governance, stake for protocol rewards, or hold long-term. All presale buyer tokens are fully liquid with no vesting period.
Security Warning
Scammers will create fake migration websites, send phishing emails, and DM you on social media claiming you must "migrate" or "claim" your tokens. The real migration is 100% automatic. Never connect your wallet to an unknown site or sign a transaction you did not initiate yourself. Caput Mundi communicates only through our official website and verified social accounts.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my tokens are held by an exchange?
Migration depends on whether the exchange supports the snapshot. We strongly recommend withdrawing your CMX SPL to a self-custodial wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack) before 1 June 2027 to guarantee your allocation is captured.
Can I still trade CMX SPL before Genesis Day?
If a secondary market exists, you may transfer or trade CMX SPL freely. Only the wallet holding CMX SPL at 00:00 UTC on 18 June 2027 receives the native CMX allocation. Plan accordingly.
Is there a cost to migrate?
No. Migration is entirely free for all holders. Caput Mundi covers all on-chain migration costs. You do not need SOL in your wallet for the migration to occur.
What if I miss the snapshot?
There is no 'missing' it — the snapshot captures balances automatically at a single moment in time. As long as you hold CMX SPL in a wallet you control at 00:00 UTC on 18 June 2027, you are included. Post-snapshot secondary market purchases will not receive native CMX.
When can I sell or use native CMX?
Native CMX is fully liquid from Genesis Day for presale buyers. DEX liquidity on Raydium and Orca is seeded at launch. There is no lock-up or vesting period for presale purchasers.
What happens if I lose access to my wallet?
Caput Mundi cannot reassign allocations to new wallets. If you lose access to your wallet before the snapshot, your CMX SPL allocation may be permanently lost. Secure your seed phrase in multiple offline locations.
